VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS

Change the World. Start Right Here.

The museum welcomes volunteer participation at every level. There is an active group who work with the education department, with individuals taking the lead as docent guides for the school tours. Other volunteers fill in as drivers for speakers, assist with the audio-visual, and run the poster signing during the symposia series. Some volunteers enjoy participating as re-enactors for the living history demonstrations.

There is a great need for volunteers to serve as oral history interviewers and transcribers. The museum could not operate without the generosity of the volunteers at every level. For those who would like to volunteer, no matter where you live, please contact Helen McDonald (830) 997-4379, extension 228.

We inspire our youth by honoring our heroes.
